Humber and Wolds Rural Community Council (HWRCC) are running a Transport Brokerage Project to share vehicle resources and to establish a coordinated pool of transport provision.\u00a0 They would like to ask groups and organisations to support them in this work by completing their survey and responding to them.<\/p>\n

Hello,
\nMy name is Gill Popple \u2013 I am working with Humber and Wolds Rural Community Council (HWRCC) on behalf of the North East Lincolnshire Community Transport Partners to investigate the appetite and opportunities to share vehicle resources and establish a coordinated pool of transport provision – a brokerage system.<\/p>\n

The aim of this Brokerage Project is to:
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 maximise the use of vehicles, many of which stand idle throughout the day or evening
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 provide an additional income to the vehicle owner
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 ensure that existing transport resources are fully utilised
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 support people to attend health and social care appointments and social\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 activities – to remain active contributing to the reduction of isolation and loneliness.<\/p>\n

My role is to establish the range of vehicles and resources that are currently under utilised and identify current provision duplication, service needs and gaps.<\/p>\n
