{"id":15124,"date":"2017-07-28T09:33:37","date_gmt":"2017-07-28T08:33:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/vanel.org.uk\/va\/?p=15124"},"modified":"2017-07-28T10:41:31","modified_gmt":"2017-07-28T09:41:31","slug":"funding-round-up-38","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/vanel.org.uk\/va\/2017\/07\/funding-round-up-38\/","title":{"rendered":"Funding Round Up"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>En:able Community Investment Fund<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Efficiency North have an event on 3rd August to inform people about their <a href=\"http:\/\/www.efficiencynorth.org\/what-we-do\/community-investment-fund\/\" target=\"_blank\">Community Investment Fund<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The EN:Able Community Investment Fund is one of the consortium\u2019s delivery vehicles for social and economic regeneration in the communities of its social housing\u00a0 landlord members.\u00a0 It opens for applications from community groups working across Yorkshire and Humber once a year from late July \/ early August to October.<\/p>\n<p>The Fund will open again for applications on Monday 31 July 2017 with a closing date of 4pm on Friday 20 October 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Their local event is<br \/>\nThursday 3rd August 2017<br \/>\n10.30am \u2013 12.30pm<br \/>\nCentre4,17a Wootton Road,<br \/>\nGRIMSBY, DN33 1HE<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.co.uk\/e\/enable-community-investment-fund-application-guidance-event-east-yorkshire-tickets-35592378763?ref=ebtnebregn\" target=\"_blank\">Details here and to book<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>An important eligibility criteria is that all applications must be endorsed by one of Efficiency North\u2019s member organisations. Locally this looks like Shoreline Housing Partnership, but please check this as you are considering your applications.<\/p>\n<p>All the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.efficiencynorth.org\/what-we-do\/community-investment-fund\/\" target=\"_blank\">details about the fund are here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Arts Council<\/strong><br \/>\nArts Council England\u2019s new \u00a33 million Catalyst Small Grants scheme is now open to applications. The new fund builds on the Council\u2019s previous Catalyst: Evolve fund which has now closed.<\/p>\n<p>The scheme provides one-off grants of between \u00a310,000 and \u00a330,000 to not-for-profits arts and culture organisations, museums, and libraries to build fundraising capacity to enable them to attract more private giving to arts and culture.<\/p>\n<p>To be eligible, organisations must have an income of between \u00a3100,000 and \u00a3750,000 and previously received an Arts Council England grant (in the two years before applying to this scheme).<\/p>\n<p>The funding is for projects that start from 12 February 2018 and which can be completed within 18 months of the project start date. All projects must be completed by 14 December 2019 at the latest.<\/p>\n<p>Examples of the type of activity that can be supported include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Investment in training for staff and\/or boards and associated follow-up activity.<\/li>\n<li>Reviewing existing contacts and committing time to develop new networks realising opportunities such as with the business community or board contacts.<\/li>\n<li>Provision of short-term cover to release existing staff to spend time delivering against fundraising plans.<\/li>\n<li>Investment in data-compliant Customer Relationship Management systems, fundraising databases or development of new technologies to realise digital giving and embed required learning across the organisation.<\/li>\n<li>Data-compliant donor segmentation of existing databases and capacity to realise opportunities as a result of the findings.<\/li>\n<li>Consultation on the development of a stronger strategic plan which would include knowledge of alternative funding opportunities and the resulting capacity needed to develop and deliver against plans.<\/li>\n<li>Investing in raising the profile of the organisation by developing a case for support resulting in increased opportunities for support.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applications must be submitted by 10 August 2017.<\/p>\n<p>For further information please visit the fund website <a href=\"http:\/\/www.artscouncil.org.uk\/funding\/catalyst-small-grants\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tesco Bags of Help<br \/>\n<\/strong>The current Tesco Bags of Help community funding now has a much wider criteria. The maximum amount that can now be applied for is \u00a34,000 and it is now voted on by the public every two months: 1st place \u00a34,000, 2nd \u00a32,000, 3rd \u00a31000.<\/p>\n<p>What types of projects will Bags of Help fund?<\/p>\n<p>The types of projects funded will be very broad and will cover the direct costs needed to deliver the project, this could range from:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Purchasing items which will benefit local community groups such as sports kit, specialised medical equipment, art and crafts materials, spades, litter pickers, camping equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Improvements to a building that benefits the local community such as a Scout or Guide hut, church or village hall, changing facilities for sports.<\/li>\n<li>Developing an outdoor space play area, allotment, park, school grounds, woodland or wildlife area.<\/li>\n<li>Running a community event or activity such as fun runs, village fete, clean-up day, tree planting, bird watch.<\/li>\n<li>Supporting seasonal activities such as purchasing new Christmas lights, supporting a Christmas meal for the homeless or a Diwali celebration event for the community etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Bags of Help can fund 100% of your project costs so you do not have to have any match funding. However, if you secured additional funding, there is no limit to what this amount can be and any funding awarded by Bags of Help can form part of your wider project costs.<\/p>\n<p>Your project can be a stand-alone project or discrete, self-contained part of a larger scheme or part of a phased project. You will need to complete your project within twelve months of receipt of the grant.<\/p>\n<p>For any projects that are making a physical improvement to an outdoor space, you will need the landowner\u2019s permission and you might also need other permissions \u2013 e.g.\u00a0planning\u00a0permission. These need to be in place before you submit your application and the landowner permission form will need to be completed and signed as part of your application.<\/p>\n<p>For further information please visit the website <a href=\"https:\/\/www.groundwork.org.uk\/Sites\/tescocommunityscheme\/pages\/Category\/boh-grant-for-project-tes\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dream Fund is here again !\u00a0 <\/strong><br \/>\n&#8216;Think big, be ambitious and collaborate with other not-for-profit partners to deliver a dream project&#8217; (adapted: Dream Fund, 2017).<\/p>\n<p>An opportunity that North East Lincolnshire should not miss.<\/p>\n<p>As part of Sector Support North East Lincolnshire&#8217;s (SSNEL) infrastructure role we can facilitate and assist in coordinating a response to this opportunity.\u00a0\u00a0 Therefore (SSNEL) would like to know if there is appetite to meet on the 26<sup>th<\/sup> July, 2:00pm to discuss putting forward a North East Lincolnshire application for the Dream Fund.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting will be facilitated by SSNEL to discuss &#8211; \u00a0themes, ideas, potential leads and agree work allocation.\u00a0 The Dream Fund encourages not-for-profit organisations to collaborate to deliver a more effective and wide ranging project.<\/p>\n<p>The Dream Fund allows charities to apply for up to\u00a0\u00a31,000,000 to deliver their \u2018dream\u2019 project in Great Britain (Scotland, England or Wales) in 2018-2020. Organisations must be at least three years old, working in a health-related field in the UK, with income between \u00a380,000 and \u00a32.5 million. Up to 20 awards will be made ranging from \u00a33,000 to \u00a340,000 plus free training valued at up to \u00a36,000. Organisations will also have a film made, receive help with press and publicity and be given a set of promotional materials.
