{"id":14849,"date":"2017-06-21T15:14:20","date_gmt":"2017-06-21T14:14:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/vanel.org.uk\/va\/?p=14849"},"modified":"2017-06-21T15:14:20","modified_gmt":"2017-06-21T14:14:20","slug":"the-youth-social-action-grants-programme-now-open","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/vanel.org.uk\/va\/2017\/06\/the-youth-social-action-grants-programme-now-open\/","title":{"rendered":"The Youth Social Action Grants Programme Now Open"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Youth Social Action Programme\u00a0is now open to receive applications for grants of between \u00a31,000 and \u00a35,000 to groups working with young people between the ages of 10 and 20 years old (or 25 for young people with learning disabilities) living in Greater Lincolnshire.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0programme\u00a0funds activities that have a positive impact on the wider community (e.g sports volunteering, environmental, conservation, intergenerational, mentoring, \u00a0befriending, local action groups).\u00a0 Young participants of these activities should have fun, make friends, try new things, develop new skills and get involved locally.\u00a0 Projects that incentivise young people will be considered, they do not necessarily have to be led by a youth group and can be for one off events, with repeat funding a possibility.\u00a0 The fund will not, however, cover general running costs for existing activity or large capital costs.<\/p>\n<p>The next closing date for receipt of applications is Tuesday 1st August 2017.\u00a0 Applicants will be notified within 4-6 weeks of this date, and successful applicants should achieve full spend within one year. The fund is open to registered charities, constituted community groups and other charitable organisations, but statutory organisations aren\u2019t eligible to apply.
