VANEL is holding a funding surgery with funding specialist Gary Allen on Tuesday 6th June at the VANEL office in Grimsby, and has invited interested groups to book a 1:1 appointment with him for a small fee.\u00a0 However, the appointment slots are now full up, and we are currently operating a waiting list system. Should any of the groups booked on to the funding surgery drop out, we will contact those on our waiting list on a first-come-first-serve basis. Gary’s visit comes as part of VANEL’s National Volunteers Week (1st – 7th June) celebrations.\u00a0 We are also planning to schedule a further funding surgery day with Gary later in July, so anyone on the waiting list will get a first come, first served chance for the July session too.<\/p>\n
About Gary<\/strong><\/p>\n Gary has been the Funding and Development Specialist at VANL<\/a> in North Lincolnshire for over 10 years. He has assisted hundreds of groups with applications for funding ranging from a few hundred pounds to hundreds of thousands of pounds. Funding can be for anything from new equipment to building repairs, from organisational development to supporting volunteers. Gary has excellent skills in achieving funding success and helping groups to access the right funds, using the right terms, for the projects and doing the jargon- busting that often puts groups off from applying for any funding.<\/p>\n Fees<\/strong><\/p>\n This is the first of our new style of funding development support for our members so we are offering a discounted rate of \u00a320 per hour for all our member organisations. The sessions will focus on identifying funding to support volunteers\/volunteering.
