In the Best Companies survey, Employees said that NAViGO was a great company to work for and the results overall revealed a very happy and motivated workforce. Staff, who are all given an opportunity to purchase a share of the company when they begin employment, always go the extra mile for their service users and fellow team members. Chief Executive, Jane Lewington commented: “Everyone in NAViGO Health & Social Care is delighted to win this award; it is a wonderful achievement and reflects the dedication and professionalism of our staff and of our volunteers. It reflects our ambition to make NAViGO a great place to work and to provide services we would be happy for our own families to use”. NAViGO are honouring their recent Best Companies award by taking part in the first ever National Best Companies Day on Friday 3rd March 2017. The accreditation which NAViGO have been awarded is due to achieving high scores in the Best Companies’ survey, which examined the ins-and-outs of company life. The survey reveals how employees really perceive their work environment. Attending the ‘Best Lists 2017’ awards ceremony in London was Mark Silvester, Employment Specialist at Open Minds and Adele Drury, Care Coordinator for NAViGO’s Community Mental Health Services, who said: “It was an amazing experience and we feel very lucky to have been chosen to represent NAViGO and our colleagues and volunteers at such a prestigious event. It really was lovely to have those of us on the “frontline” being able to get involved in this way. Often when we are dealing with such serious, stressful issues we can feel burnt out but this really highlighted the good work that everyone does and it was so lovely to see this recognised. Seeing others working in similar organisations really spurred us on to see their successes and how we can bring back these ideas to improve our own services and maybe even place higher next year. The enthusiasm from these organisations was infectious”.

Click here to read the full news release.

NAViGO have for the second consectutive year been awarded the Sunday Times Top 100 Not-For-Profit Organisations to work for.
