Groups facing discrimination and injustice can apply for grants to help create just and healthy communities. The average grant is \u00a32,500; individuals and non-profit groups can apply, but registered charities and groups with an annual income over \u00a325,000 are unlikely to be funded. <strong>The deadline is 11:30pm on 17 April.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>A B Charitable Trust (ABCT)<br \/>\n<\/strong>ABCT supports charities working where human dignity is imperilled and where there are opportunities for human dignity to be affirmed. ABCT is particularly interested in funding charities that seek to address the needs of the most marginalised and neglected groups in society, including refugees and asylum seekers, and prisoners and penal reform; it also supports charities working in the area of human rights. Most grants are in the range \u00a310,000 to \u00a320,000 and the Trust is happy to provide funding for core costs.<br \/>\n<strong>The next deadline is 19 May.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Greggs Foundation: Local Community Projects Fund, Round 2<br \/>\n<\/strong>The Local Community Projects Fund makes small grants of up to \u00a32,000 to help not-for-profit organisations based in local communities to deliver projects or provide equipment to people in need at the heart of local communities. All projects must support a community of interest, ie people who are: disabled or suffering chronic illness; living in poverty; voluntary carers; homeless; isolated older people; or have some other demonstrable significant need. The Foundation does not fund \u201creligious promotion\u201d. Local organisations based near Greggs shops are more likely to receive funding. <strong>The deadline is 24 June.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Kelly Family Charitable Trust<br \/>\n<\/strong>The Trust funds charities whose activities involve the whole family in initiatives that seek to tackle problems that face one or more of its members, and whose aims include the strengthening of family bonds by helping all elements of the family unit to grow together and support each other. Grants are usually from \u00a31,000 to \u00a35,000. The Trust is happy to support requests for core funding as well as project-based grants, and encourages applications from relatively new organisations to help them become established.
