The first successful green tech projects under The Environment Now have been announced!<\/h4>\n

The grants programme, supported by O2\u2019s Think Big in partnership with the National Youth Agency, offers funding, training, work experience and support to get young people\u2019s green ideas off the ground.\u00a0 It has announced\u00a09 projects worth \u00a390,000.<\/p>\n

The Environment Now programme is funded by O2 and the National Lottery through the Big Lottery Fund, and is part of the\u00a0Our Bright Future<\/a>\u00a0programme. It is managed by the\u00a0National Youth Agency.<\/a><\/p>\n

As you may already be aware, VANEL’s IGNITE team were successful in applying for funding from The Environment Now to fund their CGI Virtual Reality Experience ‘Pipes Away<\/a>‘. Pipes Away allows users to fully immerse themselves into the pipes of their sewers and banish the belligerent blockages commonly found in UK drains. The experience aims to educate people about the types of things that should and shouldn’t be put down the drain and the reasons why.
