{"id":1325,"date":"2013-01-30T15:46:21","date_gmt":"2013-01-30T15:46:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/vanel.org.uk\/va\/?p=1325"},"modified":"2013-02-19T10:34:10","modified_gmt":"2013-02-19T10:34:10","slug":"wordpress-training-for-2013","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/vanel.org.uk\/va\/2013\/01\/wordpress-training-for-2013\/","title":{"rendered":"WordPress training for 2013"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Announcing the new <strong>\u201cWordPress series\u201d of training sessions<\/strong> for 2013 from VANEL.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/vanel.org.uk\/va\/projects\/webclub\/\"><strong>WebClub<\/strong><\/a> works well for those committing to develop websites and working on those projects over a period of time with support from the club.<br \/>\nBut there are still a lot of people needing to understand a tool like <strong>WordPress<\/strong> in enough detail to actually make a start or take it to the next level.<br \/>\nSo I\u2019ve put together a series of different levels of training sessions around WordPress.<\/p>\n<p>Why WordPress in particular? Because it\u2019s free, simple, usable, well supported, flexible and powerful.\u00a0 (more reasons in a later <a href=\"http:\/\/vanel.org.uk\/va\/category\/blogs\/technology-blog\/\">technology blog<\/a> post)<\/p>\n<p>The courses in essence are:<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cWordPress for Beginners\u201d<\/strong> \u2013 no knowledge needed. 2hour training session. \u00a310pp<br \/>\n<strong>\u201cUsing WordPress for Real\u201d<\/strong> \u2013 follows beginners. 2hour training workshop. \u00a310pp<br \/>\n<strong>\u201cMaking the most of WordPress\u201d<\/strong> \u2013 half-day, more experienced. \u00a325pp<br \/>\n<strong>\u201cWordPress Masterclass<\/strong>\u201d \u2013 full-day, taking WP to the next level. \u00a350pp<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ll schedule most sessions once people have expressed interest in booking.
