The VANEL team are pleased to report that we offered our support to a significant number of local organisations and ‘Communities of Interest’ with their stage one funding applications to Active Communities ‘HealthWin’ programme.\u00a0 \u201cHealthWin\u201d, is our regional version of a national programme which aims to strengthen community ties and improve areas by providing funding for projects designed and run by local people. Stage one of the initial month long funding opportunity opened on 24th August and closed on September 21st 2016.<\/p>\n
Nearly half of those who contacted VANEL for help with their stage one funding applications were invited to submit a more detailed funding bid at stage two. The closing date for stage two funding bids was Wednesday October 12th. The VANEL team are looking forward to finding out which organisations and communities of interest were successful with their stage two funding applications,\u00a0 and will receive the funding that they need for their projects.<\/p>\n
We would like to wish those of you who are waiting for a response from HealthWin regarding your stage two applications the best of luck! We hope that those of you who have been unsuccessful in this instance, do not feel discouraged, and continue to apply for funding from other sources in the future.<\/p>\n
