{"id":11876,"date":"2016-09-01T16:01:11","date_gmt":"2016-09-01T15:01:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/vanel.org.uk\/va\/?p=11876"},"modified":"2016-09-02T09:00:52","modified_gmt":"2016-09-02T08:00:52","slug":"beach-clean-up-day-this-month","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/vanel.org.uk\/va\/2016\/09\/beach-clean-up-day-this-month\/","title":{"rendered":"Beach Clean Up Day This Month on Friday 16th September"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Don&#8217;t forget,\u00a0 Beach Watch is coming to Cleethorpes this month as part of a joint enterprise between Keep Britain Tidy\u2019s Beach and RiverCare team, VANEL and Anglian Water. The Anglian Water funded Beach and River Care project, which is now in its 23<sup>rd<\/sup> year, is a national beach cleaning and litter surveying programme. Every September, the Marine Conservation Society\u2019s &#8216;Beach Watch&#8217; brings together people from all over the country, encouraging them to care for and protect their coastline.<\/p>\n<p>VANEL are helping organise, support and promote a Beach Watch litter picking event on Cleethorpes beach on <strong>Friday 16<sup>th<\/sup> September 2016 <\/strong>from 9:30am until 3:30pm at Thorpe Park car park,\u00a0 and are calling for volunteers to support the beach clean-up! The event hopes to attract a number of schools from around the area and use the day as an opportunity to teach school children about the impacts of improper waste disposal and the effect this can have on the environment.<\/p>\n<p>VANEL employee\u2019s Victoria Russell and Helen Pickett will be there, on the beach, armed with black bags and litter picking equipment. Why not come along and help them restore the natural beauty of our coastline!<\/p>\n<p>Free parking is available for volunteers and don\u2019t forget to wear suitable clothing and with a bit of luck, sunscreen.<\/p>\n<!--themify_builder_content-->\n<div id=\"themify_builder_content-11876\" data-postid=\"11876\" class=\"themify_builder_content themify_builder_content-11876 themify_builder tf_clear\">\n    <\/div>\n<!--\/themify_builder_content-->\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>One for your diary.
