The Lincolnshire learning disability charity, Linkage, is to operate its own chain of shops.<\/p>\n
The move, to develop into retail, comes as the organisation is looking to further increase its fundraising income streams. The plan is to open a chain of charity shops across Greater Lincolnshire over the next three years and a Development Co-ordinator is being recruited to achieve this, with the outlets staffed by volunteers.<\/p>\n
Linkage Chief Executive Valerie Waby says: \u201cCharity shops can be goldmines for great bargains. We will look to offer different things in different locations and, as part of our portfolio, we will specialise in vintage and shabby chic goods and clothing. We\u2019ll also be selling the high-quality ceramics, woodcrafts and glassware made by our clients.\u201d<\/p>\n
