Rather than stage a big, single conference event, we’ve structured a week long ‘un-conference’ of many separate events.<\/p>\n
There are 17 different training sessions, workshops, discussion groups and so on, and you’ll be able to tap into whichever sessions you are interested in.<\/p>\n

A repeat from Trustees\u2019 Week, this session is for anyone in a governance position looking to understand how to use tech for the benefit of their organisation.\u00a0 There’s full information about this session from when we ran it in November here<\/a>. The morning sessions will be held in Immingham (at Immingham Resource Centre) and then the afternoon sessions back in Grimsby at the Elms.<\/em><\/p>\n 9.30am – 11am : \u201cTechnological Terminology Tackled\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0 do you need to get your head around technical words and concepts so need someone to ask? What is BYOD? The dark web? A router? Mi-fi? This is a session to simply answer those questions you\u2019ve been dying to ask someone about. 11.00am – 12.15 : TT-Exchange Masterclass<\/strong>.\u00a0 TT-exchange (used to be called CTX) offers heavily discounted software to registered charities.\u00a0 If you represent a registered charity and would like to find out how to save considerably on your software, come along to this session. 1.30pm – 3.30pm : \u201cWordPress for Beginners\u201d<\/strong> training workshop. heard of WordPress for building websites but want to know more about it? This is the basics to get you started.\u00a0 This is very much introductory for those who want to learn about this too. 3.00pm – 4.00pm : \u201cAccess your Data\u201d<\/strong> – a workshop about databases and Microsoft Access.\u00a0 Very simple discussion workshop to answer any questions you might have about databases or how to use MS Access. 4.00pm – 6.00pm : WebClub<\/strong> – our first WebClub session of 2015. All welcome – whether you’ve been along to WebClub before or not.\u00a0 We’ll have a very general session covering a range of issues and whatever attendees want to discuss. All of today’s sessions are held at VANEL offices at the Elms<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n 10.00am – 12noon : \u201cMaximising Mailchimp\u201d<\/strong> training session.\u00a0 This session is for those already using Mailchimp but wanting help, troubleshooting or to make more of the power of this tool.\u00a0 We’ll look at all the advanced features, so we’ll assume you have some knowledge or experience in using Mailchimp already. 1.00pm\u20142.30pm :\u00a0 lunchtime drop-in for any groups needing help with their IT who would be interested in using a \u2018digital\u2019 volunteer to help them.\u00a0 Just pop along for a chat.<\/p>\n 3.30pm – 4.30pm : \u201cMeet Huddle\u201d<\/strong> – learn about how this cloud based collaboration tool could help you.\u00a0 Informal discussions and workshop.<\/p>\n All of today’s sessions are held at VANEL offices at the Elms<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n 10.00am – 11.00am : \u201cBetter backups\u201d<\/strong> – how to keep your data secure.\u00a0 An informal discussion workshop covering good backup techniques and how to manage backups to protect yourself.<\/p>\n 1.30pm\u20143.00pm: Technical surgery<\/strong>.\u00a0 Pop along with any of your technical questions.
