VANEL continues to champion effective governance for charities and community groups, so we\u2019ve put on these cost effective courses to help you to proactively support your own trustees.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Each of the training sessions will be held at VANEL offices at the Elms, 22 Abbey Road, Grimsby.<\/p>\n<p>Each course is \u00a320 per person (non-member organisations \u00a330 per person)<\/p>\n<p>Space is limited, so please book early. We may also restrict attendance to 2 attendees per organisation. However, at your request, there is also an option for us to run each course specifically for a single organisation\/board at a convenient time or venue. Please <a title=\"Contact us\" href=\"http:\/\/vanel.org.uk\/va\/big-issues\/governance-trusteeship\/governance-contacts\/\">contact us<\/a> if you would like to discuss this.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Board development<br \/>\nFriday 28th March. 9.30am-12.30pm.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This training session is aimed more specifically at Chairs or other Trustees who want to learn about how to develop their board\/governance.\u00a0\u00a0 The session will help you to understand how to develop your board further to make it more effective and efficient and able to achieve more and serve your charity better.<br \/>\nAlthough this session is mostly aimed at charity trustees, it\u2019s about general governance approaches so will be suitable for other committees (non-charities).<br \/>\nWe\u2019ll cover the toolkits and frameworks you could use for your board development.\u00a0 Dispel some of the myths about board development.
