HEALTHWIN support has now closed.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cHealthWin\u201d, is our regional version of a national programme which aims to strengthen community ties and improve areas by providing funding for projects designed and run by local people. <\/strong>There are 51 Community Interest Companies raising money to address health inequalities across England, Scotland and Wales through The Health Lottery.\u00a0 So the People’s Health Trust charity works with the Health Lottery and the Community Interest Companies to run the scheme across the country.\u00a0 In the East Riding, Hull, North and North East Lincolnshire areas HealthAble runs the scheme, which for this area is known as “HealthWin”. VANEL has supported the scheme by locally supporting groups in North East Lincolnshire who were interested in submitting applications for the funding.<\/p>\n

More information<\/strong><\/p>\n

Constituted organisations\u2019 which have been established for three months or longer and are situated within North East Lincolnshire, were, last month,\u00a0 invited to brainstorm project ideas which could benefit their community, and apply for “HealthWin” funding. Communities of interest were also invited to get involved and think of ideas. Communities of interest are classed as groups of people who have things in common and who wish to come together to create or improve something within their community. Funding was available for between \u00a35,000 and \u00a325,000 for up to two years.<\/p>\n

Key Dates:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The closing date for Stage 1 funding applications to “HealthWin” has now passed (Wednesday 21st August 2016).<\/strong><\/p>\n

Applicants who have successfully made it through to stage 2, must submit their funding application no later than Wednesday 12th October 2016 at 1pm. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The Health Lottery is operated for and on behalf of 51 Community Interest Companies across England, Scotland and Wales, all holding society lottery licenses issued by the Gambling Commission. www.healthlottery.co.uk<\/a><\/p>\n
