VANEL’s IGNITE team are organising their first ever World Oceans Day event! The event will take place on Tuesday 30th May 2017 at Cleethorpes Discovery Centre from 10am – 4pm, and include nature walks, conservation talks and the launch of IGNITE’s Virtual Reality Experience, ‘Pipes Away!’ The event is free to attend and fun for all the family. Keep Thursday 6th April free as ‘Mini’ WE Day is returning to North East Lincolnshire for its third consecutive year. This years event “Social Action Club 2017” is being organised by founder of Counting Hope and Diana Award holder, Andy Green. The event is open to all school’s within Yorkshire and Humber, and is free to attend.
We are pleased to report 18-year-old social action campaigner and friend of VANEL, Molly Dixon, has been awarded an Associate Fellowship with The Royal Commonwealth Society. The Diana Award holder received the honour following years of involvement with social action projects and community work. Read on to find out more.

VANEL are very excited to announce that our Restorative Practices Champion, Marcus Czarnecki, has recently shared the first edition of his ‘Being Restorative’ course Workbook and Practitioners Handbook. The workbook, ‘Being Restorative’, complements the course of the same name that Marcus, and his colleagues at Creating Strong Communities created in March 2016, and is available free of charge to anyone taking part in the ‘Being Restorative’ training course.
