The project will aim to support young people to develop financial management skills as they move into their first rented/social housing/student accommodation. Last week, VANEL’s Youth Leadership Worker Lisa Anderson joined six young people at Manor Farm in East Holton, Lincolnshire for a weekend of learning and self-discovery using horses and the great outdoors. Read on to find out more.
Last week VANEL celebrated the hard work and dedication of VANEL staff and volunteers at our Executive Meeting. The meetings are lead by VANEL’s board of trustees and are an opportunity for the trustees to scrutinise and discuss the day to day running of the organisation. Last week’s meeting took place at West Marsh Community Centre and presented the IGNITE team with an opportunity to present the work they have been doing with young people over the last 12 months.
VANEL’s IGNITE team will be holding a stand at North East Lincolnshire’s largest Skills Fair at Grimsby Auditorium on Thursday 6th July. The team will be promoting volunteering and explaining to the young people the fair is aimed at how they can use becoming a volunteer to their advantage.
