On Thursday 6th June, members of the Volunteer Managers Network and our Volunteer Centre will be outside The Barge in Grimsby, along with Hattie the Community Bus, to hold a Volunteer Celebration Event. We’re there from 10am-3pm. If you’re a volunteer, thinking of volunteering, need volunteers or already host them, we’d love to see you during the day. The exhibition focuses on local preparations for war, with highlights including healthcare pre-NHS, casualties and personal memories as well as Blitz Kidz DVD which evocatively explores wartime childhood.

An Older People’s Advice Day will take place at Cleethorpes Memorial Hall on the 2nd October.
It will be between 10am and 3pm. Information and guidance about a whole host of issues for older people.
VANEL will be there ready to talk to people about Volunteering and Big Local North Cleethorpes will be represented to share news about support for local people (including free IT support).
