Volunteers Week event from VMN and VANEL @ The Barge, Grimsby
Jun 6 @ 10:00 am – 3:00 pm

On Thursday 6th June, members of the Volunteer Managers Network and our Volunteer Centre will be outside The Barge in Grimsby, along with Hattie the Community Bus, to hold a Volunteer Celebration Event. We’re there from 10am-3pm. If you’re a volunteer, thinking of volunteering, need volunteers or already host them, we’d love to see you during the day. Volunteering Open Day at Green Futures @ Green Futures

Green Futures Grimsby are inviting people who might be interested in volunteering with them to pop along on Friday 7th June for their open event from 1-3pm.

This is part of Volunteers Week celebrations and is a chance to see Green Futures and meet the team and find out more about volunteering there. Later in the afternoon they will also be having a celebration event with their existing volunteers to say thanks for all their efforts.

Grimsby in Bloom are holding a Litter Pick/River Clean on the June 8th to celebrate the Queens Birthday and World Oceans Day (10:00 – 13:00).

on Saturday 8th June join us for a World Oceans Day event at Cleethorpes Discovery Centre from 10am-3pm for litter picks, photographic competition, plastic sculpture workshops, arts and crafts and more. Older People’s Advice Day at Cleethorpes Memorial Hall @ Cleethorpes Memorial Hall

An Older People’s Advice Day will take place at Cleethorpes Memorial Hall on the 2nd October.

It will be between 10am and 3pm. Information and guidance about a whole host of issues for older people.

VANEL will be there ready to talk to people about Volunteering and Big Local North Cleethorpes will be represented to share news about support for local people (including free IT support).

There are some national good practice versions. We’ll look at these and compare them to our own.

What can we learn, or what can we change. Ideally bring a copy of your own along to share.
