Volunteers Week event from VMN and VANEL @ The Barge, Grimsby

On Thursday 6th June, members of the Volunteer Managers Network and our Volunteer Centre will be outside The Barge in Grimsby, along with Hattie the Community Bus, to hold a Volunteer Celebration Event. We’re there from 10am-3pm. If you’re a volunteer, thinking of volunteering, need volunteers or already host them, we’d love to see you during the day. Meggies Heritage along with Cleethorpes Charter Trustees welcomes you to WWII Cleethorpes.

The exhibition focuses on local preparations for war, with highlights including healthcare pre-NHS, casualties and personal memories as well as Blitz Kidz DVD which evocatively explores wartime childhood.
