Humber and Wolds Rural Community Council (HWRCC) are holding their AGM in Barton on 16th November and everyone is invited. Their theme this year is “Contributing to and supporting the health and wellbeing of our organisations, communities and residents” and there is an invitation to come along before the AGM for an event around their theme. As part of this they supply furniture and they currently have a long waiting list for beds, sofas, wardrobes and other furniture. On 21st October VANEL and IGNITE staff joined with nearly a hundred other people to clean up the Freshney river in Grimsby as part of an organised Great River Rescue event. Far too much rubbish was collected, but the river is looking so much better. Read on for a full write up and lots of photos.
