Borrowing equipment
The equipment has generally been purchased for the benefit of the community. In many cases the equipment is free or extremely cheap to hire. Where hire charges are imposed they are normally to ensure fair access to the equipment for all or to cover administrative costs. In some cases returnable deposits may be requested, or for more valuable equipment, proof of insurance may occasionally be required. Organisations from the public or private sector may potentially be able to borrow the equipment, but a charge may be levied as the equipment is normally for the benefit of community groups.
There are more details about borrowing the equipment here, but in the first instance please contact the host organisation direct. Only contact VANEL if you are borrowing equipment from us or wish to discuss a more general issue or problem related to Common Treasury equipment.
