A meeting of the Third Sector Regeneration Group has been arranged for Tuesday 12th October to take place at VANEL Offices, Town Hall Street, Grimsby, between 12noon and 2pm.
The group has a wide range of topics currently being discussed and hopefully, actioned. The last meeting was postponed as we were still awaiting information about a lot of our topics. This meeting will hopefully allow us to share some more up to date information.
There is currently no fixed agenda for the meeting, rather the following items are tabled for discussion:
Latest update on the Change Programme – we are expecting a presentation from the Community Investment Team
Update from the Change Board which will meet on Monday 11th October
Update from the last LSP Regeneration Partnership meeting
Discussion around Apprenticeships
Update on the local situation with the establishment of Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs)
We are hoping for an update/more clarity on the NELC / Balfour Beatty contract and how it affects assets/property transfer to Third Sector Organisations as well as a more detailed discussion around Asset Transfer in general.
As always, we will also have a round table discussion about current regeneration projects/asset transfer/asset development projects taking place within the Third Sector.
Unfortunately we had also hoped to update on the DWP Work Programme, but more definitive information about this is still being sought – hopefully an update at our next meeting.
See you there.
