Hindrances to neighbours during light nights and hot weather.

Well, that’s the first Bank Holiday of the year completed, with some superb weather in place for everyone to enjoy.

We now hope and look forward to more good times during the summer and the light nights.

BUT, do you consider noise pollution, and the outfall from bonfires and barbeques, that could irritate your close neighbours and create friction?

Loud music being played – when your neighbours work night shifts and sleep during the daytime, or if they have young children in the house trying to get a good night’s sleep ready for school days?

Smoke and fumes from barbeques and bonfires if neighbours have washing out to dry – have you told them of times that you will be making smoke near to their properties?

No one wants to be a killjoy, but a couple of minutes to make contact, and explain what you are doing, will give the neighbour chance to prepare by taking washing in and closing the windows facing your property.

Simple courtesy in advance will keep the peace and avoid reports to local authorities, or similar retaliations at a later date, and hopefully keep you all as good neighbours to each other.

HAVE A GREAT TIME YOURSELVES, BUT TAKE A MOMENT TO CONSIDER OTHERS IN YOUR AREA !
