Not everyone will want to join WebClub – but most groups and organisations have a need for some form of guidance and support around websites.

Whether an organisation is looking to build its first website, redevelop an existing site, work with a volunteer (or a paid professional) to develop a site or build an alternative online presence (using Facebook pages for example), there is often a lack of knowledge, experience or understanding about what web development entails.

If you find yourself ever asking “so how much does a website cost?”, or “why did it do that?”, then you probably need to learn more!

WebClub is aimed at individuals who will actually be doing the website development/redevelopment/maintenance – or managing it.  It’s a regular learning and training opportunity supporting development projects as they progress.

However…

If you just want to understand more about websites, web technologies and tools and how a website can be built or put together – then our short, free, “Cooking up a Website” training session will be ideal. (details here)

You may just need some technical support or advice with a website problem or task (have you been hacked? do you need to edit your site now your volunteer has left?!) – in which case we can provide consultancy on a low-cost, paid for, per-hour basis.  (WordPress a speciality – but contact me to find out if I can help).

We can also help simply signpost you to other support – maybe you are able to hire a professional web designer?  Contact us and we’ll try and help advise you on who to approach and how to get the best from that relationship.

We’re also about to launch “Easy Sites” – a 2 day training workshop (chargeable), by the end of which you’ll have a prototype, experimental site online and all the tools and experience you need to get your full site up and running quickly and easily.  Contact me if you’re particularly interested in this, or watch this space.

If in doubt, contact me to discuss your web development questions or requirements.
