Learn Coding in 2012
2012 has been labelled Code Year. CodeAcademy has launched a free website to help people learn programming skills for the first time. By working through basic programming skills step by step you’ll get to grips with Javascript, but more usefully learn a new skill.
I’m an advocate of as many people learning to code as possible. Especially those who work with or use IT, technology and websites. Understanding how code works helps you to learn how a computer ‘thinks’. It gives you skills in logical thought, in creative thinking and discipline. It’s just like learning a foreign language – but one you can use at times other than your holidays!
So why not start to learn to code this year!
